Junior Olympic  & Xcel Competitive Team

Unlike recreational gymnastics, competitive gymnasts work toward competition.  At USA Sports, our goal is to develop strong competitive athletes through determination, work ethic, self-discipline, motivation, time management, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, safety, and poise. Your daughter will learn how dedicated hard work, patience, a sound mind and focus reap reward and satisfaction. We will provide a safe and positive environment to help everyone achieve their goals.  Pre-Team & Team Membership is available through invitation only.  Team members spend more time in the gym and represent USA Sports in Northern California and USAG sanctioned meets.  Skill level is evaluated by USA Sports coaches who are certified through USAG (United States Gymnastics Association).  Team gymnasts are required to purchase USA Sports team bag, sweats, & leotards.

Junior Olympic Team:

The Junior Olympic program was developed with the belief that all athletes, regardless of their potential, must have a solid foundation of basic skills in order to advance safely. The program allows the gymnast to advance at her own pace, competing in more than one level in a year, if she so chooses.

In order to compete in a sanctioned competition, an athlete must be a registered USA Gymnastics Athlete Member or Introductory Athlete Member (Levels 1-2 & Xcel).

A gymnast may compete in a maximum of two (2) State meets per competitive year (one per season), either at the same or higher Level.

The Women's Junior Olympic Program is divided into three major segments; developmental, compulsory, and optional.

 Xcel Team:

The Xcel Program is designed to offer a broad-based, affordable competitive experience outside the traditional Jr. Olympic Program to attract and retain a diverse group of athletes.  The Program is divided into Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum & Diamond.
